INTERVJU SA ARGURO KALETSIOU

Read the interview we had with Arguro Kaletsiou, a young girl from Greece, who has been training volleyball for more than 15 years.

1. Can you tell us a little more about yourself? What is your name, how old are you and where are you from?

"My name is Arguro Kaletsiou, I'm 25 years old and I'm from Greece."


2. When did you become interested in volleyball and when did you start training?

"I started volleyball when i was 10 years old. My parents encouraged me to start this sport and then i loved it and it suited me very well."


3. How much are you tall and what position do you play?

"I'm 176cm and i first i played passer because my coach said i had good finger technique. But finally after 2 years i was playing as a striker in the Central position because i had a good jump."


4. Who are your idols in sports in general, and who in volleyball?

"I have many sports role models both women and men. I can't mention anyone in particular because everyone has their own abilities that distinguish them."


5. In which club did you start training and in which club are you today?

"Initially i started volleyball from a volleyball team "Filathlitikos" and now i play in Spartacus."


6. Can you single out some of the successes you achieved with the club?

"I had several accolades especially with the school league when i was in high school. My team and I won the second place all-Hellenic in 2012."


What are your plans for the future in terms of volleyball?

"I have not plans about volley, i play because I love it."


8. Would you recommend the younger generation of boys and girls to try volleyball?

"I would say to today's children that sport is very important in our lives, since it helps us both physically and mentally. It's good for children to be involved in team sports since they teach them cooperation, solidarity, respect and discipline."
