The Women's World Cup will be held from July 20 to August 20, 2023. Australia and New Zealand were chosen to host the World Cup. This is the first time in the history of the Women's World Cup that two countries have been chosen as the organizers. This championship is also characteristic in that it is organized by two countries belonging to different football confederations. Australia competes within the Asian Confederation and New Zealand within the Oceania Confederation. The title of world champion is being defended by the United States national team, which won the previous two world championships.
