INTERVIEW WITH MALINA GADZHEVA

AN INTERVIEW WITH MALINA GADZHEVA, A TALENTED VOLLEYBALL PLAYER FROM BULGARIA.

Read the interview with Malina Gadzheva, a volleyball player from Bulgaria, who has been training volleyball for a little over 10 years.

1. Can you tell us a little more about yourself? What is your name, how old are you and where are you from?

"Hi, I’m Malina Gadzheva from Bulgaria and I’m 21 old."

2. When did you become interested in volleyball and when did you start training?

"I watched volleyball from a lot of time, because Nikolay Penchev from Bulgarian National Team lived in my apartment building, when I was on maybe 8 years I started to playing volleyball."

3. How much are you tall and what position do you play?

"My high is 177 (with high jump can you make everything) and my position on the court is outside hitter"

4. Who are your idols in sports in general, and who in volleyball?

"My volleyball idol is Oleh Plotnytskyi, he is really good hitter. And… I like Ronaldo, he can give you good example with him live and career."

5. In which club did you start training and in which club are you today?

"I started in VC Maritza (Plovdiv, Bulgaria), now I play for Þróttur Reykjavík"

6. Can you single out some of the successes you achieved with the club?

"I have 3th place on the Balkan championship of Beach volleyball with Bulgarian national team
- 3 times Champion on Bulgarian in hall
- 2 times Second place on Bulgaria in hall
- 5 times Third place on Bulgaria in hall
- 2 times Champion on Bulgaria on the beach with team U18
- 2 times Champion on Bulgaria on the beach with team U20

7. What are your future plans for volleyball?

"I want to play in Italy or Poland and I want to be healthy!"

8. Would you recommend the younger generation of boys and girls to try volleyball?

,,Of course!!! Volleyball is a really good sport for young girls and boys and this is the best sport because there is no contact with the opponents!! Volleyball is a beautiful sport!"
