Read the interview we had with Daria Sintenkova, a young volleyball player from Russia who has been training volleyball for more than 10 years.
1. Can you tell us something about yourself? What is your name, how old are you and where are you from?
"I'm Daria Sintenkova. I am 18 years old. I'm from Russia, Nizhny Novgorod."
2. Koliko dugo treniraš odbojku?
"At the age of 7, my parents brought me to a volleyball school. Then I saw how the older guys play this game of chance. This finally confirmed the positive impression, and since that significant day I have been playing volleyball - for more than 11 years."
3. Koliko si visoka i na kojoj poziciji igraš?
"I'm 186 cm tall. I play middle blocker."
4. Ko ti je idol u odbojci, a ko u sportu generalno?
"I have never had idols, but I really like to watch talented athletes who live and get a real buzz from victory."
5. Da li si član nekog odbojkaškog kluba i ako jesi koji je to klub?
"Now I play in Azerbaijan. I started my career in professional volleyball in my hometown in the youth team Sparta."
6. Can you single out some success and tell us more about it?
"Undoubtedly, there are successes, playing with such professionals on the same site, you gain experience and improve technically. My team currently retains a leading position in the Azerbaijani Super League. We plan to continue to follow the intended goal."
7. Koji su tvoji planovi za budućnost što se tiče odbojke?
"I would like to further improve my game, win international competitions."
8. Would you recommend the younger generation of boys and girls to try volleyball?
"Volleyball is a wonderful game, it's not just a sport - volleyball educates character, develops physically, and as a person - you are constantly inside the team, building relationships with all team members, learning to be responsible not only for yourself. I definitely recommend it."
